Unless you’re a rainbow or part of the “rainbow” community you know that life’s never colorful and nothing is ever peaches and crème. Now, if you have a realistic approach to life you might see things, situations and circumstances as either black or white, however you also need to find a balance and explore the gray areas. That’s what this exhibit at the Scion Installation L.A. is all about: exploring both ends of the stick and everything in between.
“Insiders, Outsiders & The Middle” is an exhibit curated by Giant Robot. While none of the participating artists’ have anything in common, the concept of the exhibit ties them perfectly together. It includes paintings, drawings, sculptures and even installations. Among other things, you’ll find new works by Noriko Ashino, Nao Harada, Space Invader, Adrian Johnson, Kami, Ed Trask, Shinya Yamamoto, ZariganiWorks, and other artists. Where: Scion Installation L.A. 3521 Helms Avenue Culver City, CA. 90232 (310)815-8840 or visit: www.scion.com/space When: August 2-23 Wednesday through Saturday 11am-6pm Price: Free |

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
