If there’s a play that has been controversial yet entertaining and has been around for quite some time its “La Cage Aux Folles”. There is nothing “gayer” than a play like this, however regardless of their homosexual thematic and synopsis, it appeals to all audiences. It’s touching, entertaining, and it even raises political and social awareness- con tacones y lentejuelas incluidas.
Since it came out as a play in 1973, the French farce play by Jean Poiret caused a tremendous amount of controversy thanks to the thematic of the play and the issues it dealt with. Nonetheless, it’s a very entertaining play/ musical. “La Jaula de las Locas” will definitely not disappoint you. Prepare yourself for an evening full of music, dance, gender bending acting, lots of drag, wigs, make up, and tons of fabulousness. Where: Knightsbridge Theatre 1944 Riverside Drive Los Angeles, CA 90039 (323)667-0955 or visit: www.knightsbridgetheatre.com
When: Now showing until August 10 @ 8:00pm Price: General Admission- $30 |

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
