The Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art is proud to present “move A head”, a solo exhibition by California-based artist Amandalynn. In this exhibit Amandalynn manages to transform the gallery into an uncanny venue. She seems to be a firm believer of the saying “dos cabezas piensan major que una”, and even then, takes it up a notch. Heads and headless pieces are the main attraction.
You’ll be able to appreciate the range and diversity within Amandalynn’s work and her ability to create and recreate various types of scenarios. Her work can go from unbelievably abstract, to grotesque, to breathtaking, to simply beautiful. Indeed beauty is an important part of this gallery, not the main thing, but rather important. In several busts you’ll be able to appreciate some eccentric and meticulously elaborated head pieces made out of flowers. Where: Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art 1257 N. La Brea Ave. West Hollywood, CA 90038 (323)969-0600 or visit: www.carmichaelgallery.com When: August 2nd- August 24th Tuesday-Sunday 2pm-7pm

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
