what do you see?Found Gallery presents “What Do you See?” a collection of art by Irene Kai.  If you’re into photography you’re going to love this exhibit… and even if you don’t, it will blow you away.  No todo es lo que parece.  You’re in for a helluva ride trying to figure out what it is that you’re watching.  Keep an open mind, and remember that not everything is what it seems.

Princess Margaret was shuffled past an art exhibit at the Royal College of Art in London in 1976 that was created by then student,  Irene Kai. College officials deemed the work too provocative for even the liberal minded Countess of Snowdon. The images caused a major uproar within the Royal College of Art staff, which took two months to settle and caused the Royal College to change its hiring policy. The series of 16 images, previously shown in New York City and London, were released as a book in 2006, and encourage us to explore the source of our own sociocultural bias – causing us to take pause and examine our perception of human sexuality.

Acerca del Autor:
Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic.   I don't drink beer.  I'm addicted to chocolate.   I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive.   I have a really short attention span.  I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter.   I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole.  Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir.
