As anticipation grows by the minute with the big screen release of “Sex and the City”, reviews keep dropping like bombs. While it created a decent amount of positive buzz, as “doomsday” approaches, the reviews keep getting worse. Ahora si que vamos de Guatemala a guate-peor. It’s not that the movie is bad- the timing is just horrible. A few years ago it would have been a terrific idea, but now it’s just startling. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon fail to play their roles that made them huge in the silver screen some time ago.
Neither botox nor make-up can hide the ladies’ age, and while it’s plausible to conceive such femme fatales scoring big among young hunk, the whole movie seems to lack coherence and the spark that made it such a success back in the day. No sex… all city, just hit the snooze button and wait for it’s DVD release, or go for it at your own risk. “Sex and the City” coming to a movie theater near you May 30, 2008. |

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
