Address:3211 Beverly Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90057 Phone: (213) 382-5723 The Basics: Very few places honor their names. On the outside Medusa Lounge pasa sin pena ni gloria… it’s extremely easy to miss. However, once you’re inside, you’ll understand why the name. Just like its inspiration muse, the Medusa Lounge will leave you speechless and unable to move. Its décor is simply exquisite, perhaps something reminiscent of a Tim Burton movie, but with a tight budget.
This kind of place is unexpected in an area like Silverlake- its décor and atmosphere would make it more suitable along the Santa Monica strip, however its surprising location is part of this joint’s charm. By being located in the Silverlake area, “Medusa Lounge” manages to be funky and trendy without being pretentious. They have a fully stacked bar- if you’re into beer you’ll like this place since “Medusa Lounge” is popular for its tap beer. The only thing that might be questionable is the music choice, but once you start having fun and warming up to some drinks, the pop/ funk/ dance/ R&B extravaganza might be just okay. | Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
