Address: 1630 Colorado Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90041 Phone: (323) 258-8800 The Basics: When you plan on going to a lounge there are two main things you want to do: kick it and have a couple drinks… the rest is just a plus. While many lounges nowadays feature DJs and live music, there are some that still try to keep it as cool and chill as possible. If you want to hang out with your friends, sip on some drinks and relax, then The Chalet is for you. It’s seriously relaxing… its Mountain resort vibe breezes through Eagle Rock's hipster watering hole.
This joint is more Mammoth Mountain than Sunset Boulevard. The subdued atmosphere keeps the lodge's hip factor low key, even though it's owned by the same folks behind 4100 Bar in Los Feliz and Daddy's in Hollywood. Some sleek L.A. touches stick out: A back-lit wall mosaic of river rock glows from behind the smooth, shiny candlelit bar running the length of the room. Clientele consisting of vintage clothing-clad artists and future filmmakers sip beers, discuss their screenplays and pump quarters into a jukebox. The jukebox is one of it’s cool attractions since they have a little bit of everything: from punk to jazz. All the music is great… especially if you’re into bands like The Killers, Radiohead, Strokes, and The Bravery… like hipster heaven but with lots of booze.

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
