The name is a joke in the music industry ever since her Saturday Night Live lip-synch fiasco. Every little amount of credibility she had gained at the beginning of her career went down the drain and left everyone with the image of a lost popster doing the hoe-down on national television after being caught “cheating”. But it’s okay, that’s what pop artists do- they lip-synch.
Her sophomore album seemed as an apology, showing off her chops, and her limited but not so off-key vocal range. Still, for a pop album, it sucked. Now if you’re into pop and electro pop á la Belanova rocks your socks right now, then you’ll be surprised by Ashlee’s new album. Yes, it is a pop album, yes it has some Timbaland, but with all the trickery and production aside, she delivers a quite decent pop album. With all the crap out there and all the pop artists on the rise, Ashlee Simpson’s “Bittersweet World” proves that not all (plastic) pop is trash. Must [legally] download songs: Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya), Little Miss Obsessive, Ragdoll, Murder

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
