JRJPJazz is perhaps one of the few iconic U.S. dance forms.  While it goes back decades ago, just like all kinds of dance, it’s continuously evolving, thus staying relevant and current in today’s dance community.  Jazz dance from back-in-the-day is way different the jazz you see today.  Nowadays the lines dividing dance styles is slowly erasing, allowing for mixtures and concoctions that only enrich the already existing dance form.  Sticking true to old-school jazz dance and adding contemporary tendencies, the Jump Rhythm Jazz Project celebrates jazz in an evening filled with dance, singing, acting, and some more dancing.

This Chicago based company comes to this side of the country to celebrate and keep jazz alive.  What sets the Jump Rhythm Project aside from other jazz companies is that they strictly stick to jazz and rhythm dance which is a mixture between tap and stomping- a signature mixture that has been part of this company’s charm since its founding in New York by Billy Siegenfeld back in the 90’s.  There’s lots of dance… and all that jazz!

Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic.   I don't drink beer.  I'm addicted to chocolate.   I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive.   I have a really short attention span.  I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter.   I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole.  Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir.
