The Chango Coffeehouse presents another eclectic and brilliant mind onto their premises-- Treiops Treyfid with his solo exhibit, “Are They Alive”. Treiops Treyfid uses holographic foil, polyester resin and spray paint to construct the image of a person face, by using Styrofoam wig heads to trace the image out, which gives the viewer the illusion of life in his creations. These pieces are bold and beautiful portraits that are not just plastered on a board--the holographic material makes them seem as if they are coming at you. It’s spooky, yet special.

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
