Address: 1429 Ivar Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90028 Phone: (323) 463-0008The Basics: If want to see and be seen, the Green Door is the place for you. If you want to go to a lounge to chill and relax low key, this is not for you. Yes, it’s a club, their appetizers are to die for, but Green Door is more on the upscale side. Save it for “special” occasions or celebrations, you definitely don’t want to start your first date here or bring someone you’re just “seeing”, it’s just not that type of place. For starters, it’s a bit hard to get it, but in L.A., but in Los Angeles all the hot trendy places are hard to get into. Indeed the Green Door is a difficult door to get past through, alas difficult but not impossible. Entering the Green Door through a nondescript door on a dark small street was like walking into a secret club. Once you passed through the dark entrance, you were greeted by lush velvet curtains and a large Victorian drawing room- think crystal chandeliers, brocade chairs and sofas- the décor is simply amazing. It has a great classic design that makes you feel as if you are in a different time period. This secluded lounge lests the dress-to-impress crowd step past Sunset’s neon lights and traffic into Paris, circa 1925. What makes this place so great is its service, the amazing ambiance and surroundings. As the night progresses clothes will lessen and the tempo will thicken as crowds fill the sprawling wood floor in celebration of the DJs creative beats. Hours: Tuesday-Friday 9pm-2am Also, stay away from an eye on these:
