The Basics:  Parking is a b!tch and drinks are often pricey, but you live in L.A., get used to it!!!! There are very few clubs out there that cater to the alternative community, fortunately for you, The Echo is one of those few.  No matter what you’re into you’ll have a good time- no drama, no pretentious wanna be beeyotches, no a-holes, just good fun, good music, great drinks, and a big enough dance floor for you to bust a move.
The Echo’s dusty floor, sticky vinyl booths and mirrored walls may resemble the interior of a seedy strip club, but this place is about fresh sounds, not fancy digs.  Every DJ-oriented night is different and offers a chance to see and hear groundbreaking styles and sounds before anyone else.   There’s a definite freestyle fellowship that extends from the DJs and performers to an audience comprised of a b-boys and b-girls.  This vibrant vibe creates an abstract ambience where anything can (and does) happen on the stage and the dancefloor. 
Come to The Echo to skank, get your freak on, boogie down, whatever.  There’s really no dress code, the crowd is chill and integrated (much unlike the rest of LA).  The Echo also stays away from tacky chrome or a visual theme and opts for clean and simple, which means you have nothing distracting you from checking out the crowd.
The music is magnetic, the eclectic crowd is fun and ready to join or cheer you on while you’re getting your groove on to the infectious music.   This is one of the best spots in L.A. to find new and good music (little or no Top 40 here).  The Echo is an intimate venue with a big enough dance floor, an big enough lounge, and for once, reasonably priced drinks.
