Author: Ben Karlin Publisher: Grand Central Publishing Year: 2008 Price: About $24.00 This book comes to you via Ben Karlin, former executive producer of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report- that’s enough to give you a clue about the stuff you’ll find here. Pretty much it all hilariously flows and its short-story format makes it even more enjoyable. He collected stories by men who have one thing in common: all have been dumped. Some pieces may be a paragraph in length while others will be full-blown essays. All of them will be about that something they’ve learn from a failed relationship.
While it may sound depressing rather than hilarious, most of these men stick to the saying of looking back and laughing, and since many of them are professional comedians and/or comedy writers, the end result is often extremely amusing. “Things I’ve Learned from Women Who’ve Dumped Me” is, overall, a delightful collection of essays focusing on the lamentations of men who found themselves at the receiving en of some rather memorable, if not painful dumps. |

| Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic. I don't drink beer. I'm addicted to chocolate. I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive. I have a really short attention span. I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter. I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole. Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir. | |
