As much as we hate it, Valentine’s Day is coming our way and there’s nothing in this world we can do to prevent this from happening.  Whether you’re single, in a relationship or just dating someone, many of us dread V-Day.  
If you’re single you get a bit nostalgic because you have no one to be your “valentine”, if you’re in a relationship te estás rompiendo la cabezota trying to think of ways to keep your “honey” happy and deliver something romantic and thoughtful, if you’re dating someone you’re beyond confused.  For the latter two there’s not much of a solution but to just shush and deal with it.  For the singles out there though there are plenty of options.

The last resort

If you are single and you’re still trying to figure out what to do this V-Day or every other weekend for that matter and you are an extremely busy single or a mere sociopath your alternatives are limited.  Your friends are tired of hooking you up with other friends, you don’t take time to get to know people, and well, looking for people on-line is out of the question- you’re not that desperate yet. 
So what to do?  Instead of spending the weekend getting wasted with your buddies or just being a lazy bum channel surfing all weekend long, prepare yourself for this one of a kind “quasi perfect” getaway for singles. Forget picking up chicks at the bar or at the club or wherever your favorite pick up spot is- it’s too time consuming, and with V-Day coming your way there’s only one thing to do- speed dating.

Yes… speed dating actually exists; it’s not something Hollywood pulled out of its glorious behind. Even though it’s not as popular as it was decades ago, it’s still around and it’s proven to be quite effective among solterones and solteronas with poor social skills and a tight schedule.  But speed dating is not only for the sociopath  and the busy, if you suffer from A.D.D. or get bored easily and are not really into the whole wasting-time-on-a-date-that’s-gonna-go-nowhere thing then speed dating is perfect for you.
