“My Life As a Traitor” follows the story of Zarah Ghahramani, a twenty year-old Iranian student that was slashed from her freedom and her rights after committing a crime.  Her crime was beyond belief and so horrid that she had to be taken to the Evin prison, known for keeping captive hard-core criminals and political prisoners.    Evin was indeed the ultimate punishment and the amount of brutality in that prison was beyond belief.  So what did Zarah Ghahramani do to deserve such punishment?  She just wanted to feel the sun caressing her head, slide back her headscarf and just feel what many people take for granted.  That wish directed her towards the political activism path.

In spite of her parents begging her not to continue venturing into dangerous territory, she would not have it and stood firm by her beliefs.  Once she was caught and sent to the ultimate prison, Zarah Ghahramani went through hell and back, she was abused physically, emotionally and psychologically.

In “My Life As a Traitor” she takes the readers on her journey through all the traumatic experiences she went through while she was at the Evin prison, and her continuous fight even after being freed.

Hi, my name is Rafael Alejandro Acero Hernandez, and I'm an alcoholic.   I don't drink beer.  I'm addicted to chocolate.   I'm a bit bipolar and every once in a while obsessive/ compulsive.   I have a really short attention span.  I don't believe in labels, I'm not defined by what I do or by who I do- for that matter.   I'm a writer, an actor, a dancer, BUT nothing is better than being a professional a$$hole.  Soy un chilango incomprendido, y como tal- valemadrista a morir.
