Naples It’s that time of the year where the fat guys in the red suit take over all the malls and big avenues.  It’s that time of the year when your wallet starts suffering cash shortage and your shopping trips are as constant as your trips to the kitchen for a midnight snack. It’s also that time of the year where usually your electric bill doubles or even triples.

Oh yes! Christmas… it is the season to be jolly alright.  Blinding Christmas lights everywhere, neighbors competing to see who has the best picture perfect lawn. Some of them really well put together, others just a joyous mess.

There are many communities that take Christmas seriously; Naples is one of those places. Naples is a community in Long Beach, beautiful all year round, with its canals that remind you of Venice and its million-dollar houses.  In Christmas though, they “let it snow”.  Almost every single house is decorated to almost perfection.  It’s definitely a great romantic place to take a walk after a nice filling dinner in Belmont Shore.

Romantic Perfection

If your life were a chick flick, Naples is the place where all the “magic” would occur, where you and your “love” gaze into each others eyes and realize that you wouldn’t like to be with anybody or anywhere else but at that moment with them. It seems to be even more magical than Disney; it’s just seriously the best romantic escapade.

Not only do you get to walk around by the canals enjoying magazine-worthy houses, but also you can ride on a gondola.  You can take a ride through the more than a mile-long canals, romantic music blaring in the background, Christmas lights blinking in the distance and the stars winking at you as if approving of such a wonderful rendezvous while sipping on some red wine.  The best thing about it is that it’s not expensive at all, it’s not cheap either, but it is quite affordable and worth every single penny.

After a joyous romantic ride on a gondola you can continue your night by walking around some more.  You’ll be amazed with what people can do to their houses for Christmas with some imagination and a huge budget. Me and my partner in crime were lucky enough to walk by a place where a group of little girls where singing carols.   So if you’re bored at night and feel a bit romantic, get your “honey” and drive down to Naples in Long Beach, the only problem is traffic and the confusing one way streets, but other than that, it’s just perfect.
To find out how to get there, just google it! Location is not an issue, it’s situated just by Belmont Shore.

If you have an adventurous spirit, love to travel, or just have way too much free time on your hands and are always going places, it’s about time you get something good out of it.
To win a cool surprise gift, just send us your “getaways”, tell us about the places you’ve been and talk about your experience or simply brag about it.
Only the best of the bunch will receive a price.
So what are you waiting for? Make sure you send your “getaways” to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
