If for some odd reason you haven’t read this novel by Gabriel García Márquez, now is the time to do it. If you are like many people out there that prefer to watch the movie than reading the book, you don’t know what you’re missing. Even though the movie is quite good and it sticks almost word by word to the novel, you’ll get a different experience. Like almost all books that make it on the big screen, sometimes the directors and the actors fail to deliver the full message. To fully understand the characters and feel their love, their pain and their love you must read the book. Not only is it a classic, but it’s extremely easy to read. It’s even better if you read it in Spanish: “El amor en los tiempos del cólera”.
