Like any other fashion trend, L.A. Fashion week came and went. From October 10th through the 19th, established and up and coming fashion designers flooded venues throughout the greater L.A. area to showcase their Spring 2009 collections. Florals, loud colors, light materials, military, music and art inspired designs strolled the runway on this heavy week of fashion over dose. But although there were some designers who delighted us with runway worthy designs, there were others, one in particular, who sadly stayed in the monotony of been there, done that. |

Joey and Dora are cashing in on their nightmares. The same bad dreams that have most people sweating up a storm under their bed sheets are making this Montreal duo an up and coming noted clothing line. “Akumu Ink”, Japanese for nightmare, is the pair’s creation that arose after a friendly get together. With a passion for Japanese culture, death core music and black and white indie comics, the team explored their inner conscience and dug up some pretty badass designs. Launched in early ’08, Akumu Ink is the in-your-face attitude that T-shirt aficionados have been dying to get into.
