Gossip is a very important part of Hollywood life. Whether you’re into it or not, there’s no denying that it’s just simply entertaining. Blogger and self appointed “Queen of All Media” Perez Hilton was one of the characters that started going nuts in the blogosphere posting crazy, funny, and most of the time, insulting shiz about anything Hollywood and entertainment-centered. May lighting struck you twice donde no te da el sol if you deny looking at any of those sites at least once. The most popular ones are Mr. (or Ms.) Hilton’s blog, and TMZ. They are the most visited and sought after, however, they’re not the only ones. “Pink is the New Blog” is also coming strong, but one site that is really raising (or lowering) the bar on star dissing is “D-Listed”. |

This world is whack. No doubt about it. Only in America are unhealthy lifestyles perpetuated and celebrated. While we should not condemn other people’s choices, it’s just out of tune to praise and applaud other people’s self destructive behavior and questionable preferences. There is no denying that here in the U.S. we love our fast food. Just take a look around and you’ll find yourself in the middle of a hundred McDonald’s and other fast food joints. Obesity as a disease is no laughing matter, but once it happens as a choice y por pura hueva… then that’s when it becomes a problem. |

Over 50,000 undocumented students graduate high school each year. But no clear number can trace how many of those undocumented students go on to attend a university. With immigration being hot on the plate of current presidential campaigns and with many U.S. citizens supporting laws that reduce aid to undocumented individuals, the faith of such undocumented students is far within their control. |

The Cure said it, even Miguel Bosé agreed on the fact that “boys don’t cry”… or in Bosé’s words: “…los chicos no lloran sólo pueden soñar, los chicos no lloran, tienen que pelear.” Why is it that we agree to follow the norm and stick to the macho status set by an ancient male dominating society? The last phrase would make sense coming out of the mouth of a feminist or any other girl, but it may elicit a WTF?! if you heard it coming from a guy. Now, if you add to that the fact that the male who now screams this phrase before you is a self proclaimed feminist and a natural born queer… well, it all kinda makes sense now. But either way- whether you’re a gay or straight male, crying is something condemned by Latino society. |
