When dining out, perhaps the best part of the evening arrives with dessert.  If you have a terrible sweet tooth and hate the anticipation of a full meal before succumbing to baked goodies and such, then you’re going to love this place.  Who doesn’t love cookies?   Along with chocolate, cookies rank among the top comfort food list.  Unhealthy? Yes.  Fattening?  Most definitely.  Yummy, mouth watering and scrumptious?  Oh yeah. 

Indian food is known for having a bold spicy taste to it.  Although it’s not rare to find Indian restaurants in the L.A. area, it is hard to find a place that serves food with the right amount of spices that won’t give you indigestion or a horrible case of heartburn.   It can be quite an adventure for both you and your digestive system finding an Indian restaurant that will satisfy taste buds and meet all your culinary needs without any secondary effects.  

Reluctant to feed into the frenzy of over-developed restaurants and bars, I’m the first in line to check out a local mom and pop joint over one of those places any time! But curious about the newly established “Tranquility Base Lounge” about which my ears had received so much buzz, I opted to attend their grand opening. Accompanied by a faithful companion (my huge appetite, which I never leave home without), I dressed the part to attend this doopteedee-doo shindig and hit the town in my Sex and the City Carrie Bradshaw attire. I’d need a couple of drinks if I was to go out of my comfort zone and mingle with these “over-developed-bar-hopping” hipster-type (no punt intended), so first on my to-do list was to hit the bar.

The folks from Thai Original B.B.Q. Restaurant where not kidding when they named this joint.  Podiendo haber escogido otros nombres mucho más originales y catchy, los cuates de Thai Original B.B.Q. se decidieron por algo simple y self-describable.   Aunque hay locales de comida china a más no poder, es un poco más difícil encontrar establecimientos que se especialicen en good old fashioned thai food.   Fortunately for you, el que busca encuentra, y aunque a veces es desesperante encontrar un buen thai food place, es gratificante cuando por fin das con uno que sirve good scrumptious thai food.
