So give the folks at BK a rest and venture into Long Beach and head over to “Open Sesame” to try some of the best Lebanese food in town.

Los United States es sin duda una “fast food nation”. A todos nos encanta la comida rápida, ya sea por eficiente o porque simplemente nos gusta echarnos nuestros buenos bocados de greasy food. Aunque Micky D’s tiene una línea de ensaladas que intentan ser saludables, they fail misserably. If you’re carb and calorie conscious te darás cuenta de que una ensalada de McDonald’s, Jack In The Box, o KFC tiene por lo menos 900 calorías -y eso sin contar el aderezo and the other toppings. Aunque comer saludable es casi imposible when it comes to fast food joints, existe uno que otro establecimiento con comida saludable, orgánica y con buen sabor. El restaurant “Tender Greens” is one of those few.

When dining out, perhaps the best part of the evening arrives with dessert.  If you have a terrible sweet tooth and hate the anticipation of a full meal before succumbing to baked goodies and such, then you’re going to love this place.  Who doesn’t love cookies?   Along with chocolate, cookies rank among the top comfort food list.  Unhealthy? Yes.  Fattening?  Most definitely.  Yummy, mouth watering and scrumptious?  Oh yeah.
