DonkeyOn their debut album they chanted that music was their hot, hot sex. Now for their second album, this Brazilian band stays true to their initial agenda. CSS dismiss the much feared sophomore slump and “Donkey” proves to be yet another score for the band. For this album, CSS improves the sound that brought them to the limelight. The quality is far better than that of “Cansei de Ser Sexy”. Produced by Adriano Cintra and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent, “Donkey” captures the band’s essence to the max.

Fantasía Pop [Deluxe Edition]Belanova embarked themselves on an electro-pop domination soirée with their last album “Dulce Beat”. They conquered not only Mexico, Latin America, and the Hispanic music community in the U.S.; they also earned the respect of many music aficionados that usually denigrate anything pop-related. Sticking to the same sound that launched them into electro-pop stardom, Belanova enlisted pretty much the same team for their following album “Fantasía Pop”, which was released some time ago and has spawned a few hits like “Baila Mi Corazón” and “Cada Que…”

Mar DulceEver since their 2002 debut album “Bajofondo Tango Club”, this Gustavo Santaolalla project turned heads their way by fusing modern rhythms with Argentinean music- mainly tango and milonga. And while they were compared to Gotan Project, with their sophomore album “Mar Dulce”, Bajofondo not only proves to be more than a one-trick pony, but also makes a name for themselves, making comparisons with Gotan Project and others a thing of the past.

It seemed like it was the end of La Oreja de Van Gogh, after all, Amaia Montero served as their voice and their image. Surprisingly enough, earlier this year, the band’s remaining members expressed their desire to continue with La Oreja de Van Gogh, but with new lead singer- Leire Martinez.
