All U Need Is MoshAfter several years away from the studio and a short hiatus, Plastilina Mosh return better than ever with “All U Need Is Mosh”. Even though their last studio album, “Hola Chicuelos”, was released back in 2003, somehow it seems like they haven’t been gone at all- they have managed to stick around and stay “current”.  If you’re looking for the perfect summer album, search no more.  Plastilina Mosh deliver their usual “Mosh” sound and craziness and then some more.

For Your ConsiderationIf you are not familiar with Kathy Griffin and her work, this is a great introductory material. Her “big break” came years ago with a secondary role in the not-so-popular “Suddenly Susan”, starring Brooke Shields.  However, that’s not why she’s been on the radar lately. For that, thank her D-List celebrity status, her various Bravo specials, her potty mouth and her bluntness.

LunadaEvery so often an album comes out that it’s so bad you can’t resist talking about it.  There are bad albums and then there are BAD ALBUMS. Even though she has scored a few “#1 Hits” as a soloist after leaving Timbiriche, Thalía has never been known for releasing superb music. This time Mrs. Mottola returns to the music scene from her maternity leave with “Lunada”. It’s because of albums like “Lunada” that music aficionados all over the world condemn everything that has to do with pop music.

MiggsAll Monty Python-isms aside, sometimes having little to no expectations is the best way to approach listening to unknown music. As a listener, you don't get too high, or too low, on what's coming next.

You kind of get this honest moment of clarity as the music enters the ear and tickles the emotions. That was how things worked for me with Miggs and their latest album, Unraveled.

I had no preconceived notion of what I was getting myself into, and by the end of disc, I found myself tapping my toes, humming along, and eagerly awaiting the next display of musical acrobatics.

Dantesco - PaganoSoaring Epic/doom prog metal from Puerto Rico, Dantesco are a revelation in the metal world. This is epic metal in the truest form of the word. Rarely have I heard a band so effortlessly fuse pulse-quickening riffs with classical interludes, searing guitar leads and acoustics, all laced with religious overtones, into one package this captivating.. Their website describes them as "something in between Candlemass and Mercyful Fate," and who am I to argue. But if you ask me, they sound most similar to The Wake of Magellan-era Savatage spliced with classic Iron Maiden in terms of melody, intricacy and musicianship.
